On July 22, there was a big celebration at Bulbugan Elementary School in Oriental Mindoro. We regularly send boxes of donated items to the Philippines, and this time, thanks to a donation from Makro in Wateringen, we were able to purchase a large quantity of pepernoten and treats for a symbolic amount. With the generous sponsorship of the shipment by LBC Express in Milan, we were able to send these boxes.

The shipment was so large that we could give each child a bag of treats, and the happy faces said it all. We are very pleased to be able to occasionally treat these children to something sweet that we often take for granted in the Netherlands.
