Partnership with a local hardware store
We have found a hardware store that is willing to collaborate with us. It is a family-owned business. We agreed that they will supply only the materials that are actually needed at that specific time. We chose this approach because we are not certain how many volunteers will be available to help.
The school does not have a security guard, and there is no safe storage space for materials. Storing materials outside, in plain sight, is not a wise option, as the school fence is too low and can easily be climbed over. In addition, the school grounds are deserted in the evenings, which could invite outsiders to take materials. This measure is intended to prevent such situations. Moreover, this method is better for the materials themselves, especially in the Philippines, particularly during the rainy season.
We are pleased that this arrangement can be organized in this way. Payment can be transferred directly from here to the company. We have also indicated that, if the collaboration goes well, we will become a regular customer, especially with future projects in mind. The owner, Mrs. M., has also expressed her willingness to offer a discount, particularly for the foundation.
Orders will be placed on a pre-order basis. The foreman will inform us in advance about the work that will be carried out. The administrator will then prepare the order. For approval, we will first receive a request; after that, I will give the hardware store the go-ahead. Payment will then be made, and the order will be delivered.
It has also been agreed that in the case of urgent materials, this process can be accelerated. Small items of limited value, such as nails, rope, sealant, and similar supplies, may be released without our prior approval.
We believe this plan of action is a strong and effective working model for our project.
